[52N SWE] [Operate upon sensors]

Francesco
Hi,
we are two computer engineering students.

Is there a SOS-like or SPS-like framework to set sensors sensing frequency and sensing mode (on-demand or continuous)?
Or SOS or SPS do the job?

Best regards,
Francesco, Andrea

Hi Francesco and Andrea,

I think the SPS would be the right service for this job. A core
functionality of the SPS is to set certain sensor parameters (like
sensing frequency or sensing mode).

You could use the 52° North SPS implementation
(http://52north.org/sps). What you would need to do is to write a
plug-in that links your specific sensors (and their control
interfaces) to the SPS framework. On the SPS web page you can find
further information how to do this.

Best regards,
Simon

If you want to task a sensor or set its settings, I would recommend
to use the SPS. Find detailed information at

  https://wiki.52north.org/bin/view/Sensornet/SensorPlanningService
  https://svn.52north.org/svn/swe/main/SPS/

Feel free to ask questions, if s/th remains unclear.

Best

  Henning
