[52N SWE] Why SOSFeeder as Web Application?

Francesco D'Amore
Hi All....

I'm trying SOSFeeder in order to feed the sos database with data
coming from file and other databases where data are stored.

It works fine but.....why the feeder is a web application????
There is some important requirements about this????

I think that may be more user friendly a SOSFeeder organized as a
simple Java Console Application.

Even during the developing phase, where people write his SourceDAO, a
simple java application is more easy tu manage e to debug.

There is some task that is possible to do only with a SOSFeeder
structured as a Web Application???

Thank you.

Re: [52N SWE] Why SOSFeeder as Web Application?

Stasch, Christoph
Dear Francesco,

initially the requirement was to easily task the feeder via the web. That was the reason for developing it as web application.

You can easily change it to a Java Console Application by using the main method in the class Feeder.java.

Cheers,

Christoph
