Mobile sensor guide lines

and.vianello
Hi all,
I'm looking for informations/tutorials about how to insert mobile sensors and their observations.
I've only found this page but it's almost empty:
https://wiki.52north.org/SensorWeb/MobileSensorsInSOS20

It would be usefu to have a template for Inserting a mobile sensor.

Thank you very much if you have information,
Andrea.

Re: Mobile sensor guide lines

Hi Andrea,

the 52N SOS 4.4.x [0] supports mobile sensors and the insertion of
mobile values via InsertObservation and InsertResult.

To indicate that the sensor is mobile you have to add a capabilities
section to the sensor description (SensorML 2.0) like this:

<sml:capabilities name="metadata">
     <sml:CapabilityList>
         <sml:capability name="insitu">
             <swe:Boolean definition="insitu">
                 <swe:value>true</swe:value>
             </swe:Boolean>
         </sml:capability>
         <sml:capability name="mobile">
             <swe:Boolean definition="mobile">
                 <swe:value>true</swe:value>
             </swe:Boolean>
         </sml:capability>
     </sml:CapabilityList>
</sml:capabilities>

See also this example [1] from the 52N SOS examples.

The location of the observation should be defined as sampling geometry
om:parameter (O&M 2.0 SaptialObservation, SOS 2.0 Spatial Filtering
Profile) like this:

<om:parameter>
     <om:NamedValue>
         <om:name
xlink:href="http://www.opengis.net/def/param-name/OGC-OM/2.0/samplingGeometry"
/>
         <om:value xsi:type="gml:GeometryPropertyType">
             <gml:Point gml:id="SamplingPoint1">
                 <gml:pos
srsName="http://www.opengis.net/def/crs/EPSG/0/4326">52.9 7.52</gml:pos>
             </gml:Point>
         </om:value>
     </om:NamedValue>
</om:parameter>

The 52N SOS provides this example [2] for inserting a measurement
observation with sampling geometry.

Here you find the examples for InsertResultTemplate [3] and
InsertResult[4] with defined sampling geometry.

Best,
Carsten

Re: Mobile sensor guide lines

agitoktay
Hi Carsten,

Is there any ontology definitions you suggested instead of "mobile" and "insitu" ?

Best regards
Agit

Hi Agit,

currently, the 52N SOS only supports "mobile" and "insitu" as definitions.

Best,
Carsten
