REST-interface returns nothing after Postgres Password Change

Stezi
Hello,

unfortunately I had to change the password of the user that SOS uses to connect to the Postgres 9.5 db. I simultaneously changed the password in the admin interface in SOS v.4.3.8. I tried to access REST-interface then, but Tomcat threw an error so I restarted the instance. Requests using the SOS OGC interface are working well, nevertheless the REST interface still returns an empty list.

logfile.txt

Do you have an idea how to solve this problem? Just tell me, in case you need more information.

Best regards
Stezi

Hi Stezi,

I have checked your provided logfile but I can not find any hints why
the REST interface returns an empty list.

But there are several exception log statements regarding your
InsertObservation requests and the observations are not inserted into
the database.

The OM_Observation in your InsertObservation requests contains a
gml:identifier which should be unique for each inserted OM_Observation
because the gml:identifier can be used for querying GetObservationById.
If the gml:identifier is not required, you can omit this

Back to the REST interface.

Which REST request returns an empty list?
The getData request?

If you have not defined a timespan query parameter, the REST interface
return the data from the last seven days. If there are no data in the
database which are in this time period, an empty list is returned.

Best,
Carsten

Which REST request returns an empty list?
/api/v1/stations, /api/v1/timeseries, etc.
(SOS Capabilities lists the procedures, as stated before).

Re: REST-interface returns nothing after Postgres Password Change

Stezi
I changed the password again. This is what the rest interface returned (as before): Apache_Tomcat_8.html

I finally reinstalled 52SOS because I have to work on it right now. The problem then vanished of course.

Stezi

Hi Stezi,

if you have changed the database credentials and restart the SOS/Tomcat,
then the SOS ans REST request usually works.

In some cases the restart is required because the database connection is
not reconnected correctly (managed by the Hibernate framework). Then the
exception is thrown that you have attached.

Or maybe it was in your case a weird browser caching issue.

Best,
Carsten
