Hi Kazem,

which SOS Test Client do you mean? The test client of SOS 3.x, 4.x, a
specific SOS instance?
Please, have a look at our mailinglist guidance [0].

The test client provides example requests and the request are send to
the SOS instance which provides the observation and sensor descriptions.

Usually not. Mostly the observations are stored in a database where they
were inserted with the SOS transactional operations or with other tools.

Best,
Carsten

Hi Carsten,
    I've read your response and I want to know how to insert data to my database(I have installed postsql9.1 & postgis2.0)?
    I've tried to use the sos client to send an "insertsensor" request and get the right response.But I don't know where the sensor have been inserted to.
Here is the "insertsensor" response:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<soap:Envelope xmlns:soap="http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xmlns:swes="http://www.opengis.net/swes/2.0" xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.opengis.net/swes/2.0 http://schemas.opengis.net/swes/2.0/swesInsertSensor.xsd http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope">
<soap:Header/>
<soap:Body>
<swes:InsertSensorResponse>    <swes:assignedProcedure>http://www.52north.org/test/procedure/9</swes:assignedProcedure>      <swes:assignedOffering>http://www.52north.org/test/offering/9</swes:assignedOffering>   </swes:InsertSensorResponse>
</soap:Body>
</soap:Envelope>
Do you have any suggsetions? Thank you.
Best regareds,
Dana

Re: SOS Test Client

Hi Dana,

you have inserted the sensor into your SOS and the SOS stores the data
into the configured database. In your case your PostgreSQL 9.1.
With the InsertObservation you can insert observations into the SOS.

I recommend to read the OGC SOS 2.0 specification [0] to learn how the
SOS works and how are the workflows how to insert and retrieve data.

Best,
Carsten
