SOS sensor widgets attribute error

legramo
Dear all,

I found a incoherence when i tried to use the below sensor Widgets specially developed for our community:

I can't reference the property attribute due to the JSON SOS defines this attribute as "observedProperty".

Here is the original widget code:

SensorWidget('gauge', {
   "service": "http://sensors.portdebarcelona.cat/sos/json",
   "offering": "http://sensors.portdebarcelona.cat/def/weather/offerings#10m",
   "feature": "http://sensors.portdebarcelona.cat/def/weather/features#02",
   "property": "http://sensors.portdebarcelona.cat/def/weather/properties#33",
   "refresh_interval": 120,
   "footnote": "A sample footnote for Gauge widget"
}, document.getElementById('gauge-container'));

Here is my widget code:

I got the next error:
The 'gauge' widget is missing some mandatory parameters: property

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Fran

Re: SOS sensor widgets attribute error

Hi Fran,

the "observedProperty" request parameter is define in the OGC SOS standard.
The JSON binding/coding of the 52N SOS is not standardized but we have
tried to implement the JSON encoding against the abstract definitions of
the specifications (SOS 2.0, O&M 2.0, SWES 2.0).

The sensor Widgets were not developed by 52°North and there might be
reasons for the your community to call the parameter "property" and not
"observedProperty".

We recommend to contact the developer of the sensor Widgets and describe
the problem. An option would be to create a GitHub issue in the
referenced GitHub repo:

Best,
Carsten

Also, it doesn't look like the widgets are using the JSON binding hat all. The value you are refering to is just a configuration property of the widget and is not related to any JSON property... Using property and the /service endpoint should work...
